The Grand Opening of the School of Good Governance: Advocacy

On 27th of November, 2015 the Grand Opening of the project "School of Good Governance: Advocacy" was held in America House in Kyiv on behalf of prominent diplomats, politicians, businessmen and professors.

Ms. Christi Anne Hofland, the Director of America House in Kyiv, Mr. Viktor Mashtabey, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, Mr. Vasyl Babych the Vice-President of the U.S. Embassy Youth Council in Ukraine were addressing to audience and organizers during welcoming speech on behalf on occasion of the launching of the pilot project of the NGO "Institute of Policy and Governance". 

Our prominent guest of the Grand Opening was Mr. Bogdan Gawrylyshyn, during welcoming speech encouraged young people to be involved to the process of realization of the political, economic, social and environmental potential and participation in its transformation. 

Ms. Victoria Vdovychenko, the President NGO "Institute of Policy and Governance" was addressing to audience with welcoming speech. Ms. Victoria has told about the idea of the School, the history of the organization and has presented the project team. She encouraged participants to work hard in order to realize their advocacy ideas.

Mr. John Shmorgun, President "AGR Generation", Mrs. Patricia Shmorgun-Hawrylyshyn, Partner "Porcelain Groups", Mr. Alexey Tsebro, CEO of Tangram Ukraine, representatives of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine, the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service, international associations, charitable foundations and NGO’s were among the guests, involved in event.

School of Good Governance: Advocacy is aimed to train young Ukrainians on methodology of the issues of advocacy, mechanisms of effective usage of advocacy-projects and their successful implementation on local, national, international levels. The project was entitled by the NGO “Institute of Policy and Governance”, which initiated its activity in 2015.

The partners of project are the US Embassy in Ukraine, American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Charitable Foundation, Institute of Professional Lobbying and Advocacy Center for Political and Legal Reforms and others.
