Welcome New Speaker of School of Good Governance: Advocacy!

Chairman of the Board of the NGO “The Regional Advocacy Centre “LIFE” – Andrii Skipalskyi will be a speaker at the “School of Good Governance: Advocacy”.

During last 5 years Mr. Skipalskyi have held three successful advocacy campaigns on adopting and lobbying an comprehensive smoke-free legislation. NGO “The Regional Advocacy Centre “LIFE””, represented by the Mr. Skipalskyi, the Chairman of the Board, was award for the great achievements and recognized as the best in the category “Protecting people from exposure to secondhand smoke by adoption of smoke-free laws” at the “World Conference on Tobacco or Health”.

Additionally Mr. Skypalskyi was honored with the 2015 Judy Wilkenfeld Award for International Tobacco Control Excellence in recognition of his visionary leadership in combatting tobacco use in Ukraine. During last seven years Mr. Skipalskiy has been coordinating the campaign on the preservation against illegal logging in the forests of Bilychansk and as the result of his activities all western suburbs of the city of Kyiv received protected status.

Nowadays he is an expert at the Secretariat of WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control and participates at the international projects on technical assistance in the field of public advocacy, social investment, anti-corruption and media development.
